Help Wanted

So here at Athens Theatre we’re doing our best. As often as possible we review shows, we’re trying to let you know about stuff before it happens, but, let’s be realistic, this site takes time to manage and plays don’t watch themselves.

Hence, we want you. If you have enjoyed our site or gotten any use out of it at all and want to help out somehow, let Dave know at dave [dot] h (at) athenstheatre {dot} com.

In particular we need:

  • Review Staff : we make it to every show we can, but we need other people who go to Athenian productions to jot down some thoughts and give us reviews. With a few people (as opposed to the current ONE) we can get great opening-night coverage for every show in Athens. In fact, we’re working to get access to shows during final dress rehearsals so our reviews can be even more relevant.
  • News Staff : we’ve been getting better about getting monthly updates up early enough to be useful, but even this can be a challenge when juggling a full load of courses and several other projects and organisations. Even just updating the calendar would be a great help.
  • Site Staff: aside from content, we’d like to make our site a bit prettier. So far this default WordPress template has served us well, but we hope to have something a bit prettier up by the end of the semester. Let us know if you want to assist.

Don’t begin to think that this is all we want, though: if you’ve thought of some fantastic way to contribute, give us a shout. Heck, just posting a link to us on your own website or Facebook profile’d be great.

Of course, the simplest thing you can do to help is to keep coming back and let us know what you think.
